All men learn in one of three ways:
1. Some learn by being told.
2. Some learn by being shown.
3. Then there are those that learn by experience. They just have to urinate on the electric fence.

Talking FS2004 Update for the Dodosim chopper 206

Hello,

The update is of NO USE unless you plan on setting up your flight sim SPECIFICALLY for the DODO Bell 206 Advanced. There are settings that have to be made in the FS9 settings section that will conflict with EVERYTHING ELSE you plan on flying.
Regarding the configuration, you can set up two fs9.cfg, one for the DODO and another one for everything else and create two fs9.exe shortcuts to load each one depending on what you want to fly. This way you won't have any conflict with other planes.

Talking FS2004 // FSX // CFS2 Razbam Skyraiders Volume 2

Hello,

History:
In the spring of 1946, a few XBT2D-1s were delivered to the Pacific Fleet Air Headquarters at NAS Alameda for service trials. In December of 1946,
VA-19A at NAS Alameda was declared operational with the AD-1. Deliveries to two Atlantic Fleet squadrons, VA-3B and VA-4B, began in April of 1947.
These two units completed carrier qualification trials aboard the USS Sicily. They were soon deployed aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Throughout the late 1940s, more and more Navy carrier-based units were equipped with Skyraiders of various versions. As the year 1950 began,
it appeared that the production of the Skyraider was going to be winding down quite shortly, with 12 Navy AD attack squadrons, plus two AD-4N
night attack and two AD-3W early warning squadrons already in service. Throughout the Korean conflict, the Skyraider was used in a variety of
roles--day and night attack against North Korean and Chinese troop concentrations as well as radar jamming and electronic countermeasures. It
was able to carry a large variety of offensive loads, and was the only plane capable of delivering 2000-lb bombs with dive-bombing precision
against targets such as mountain bridges and hydroelectric dams. Numerous sorties were flown by AD-4N night-attack aircraft. These three-seat
aircraft were very effective in night operations, carrying a 500 lb bomb, 6 250 lb bombs and six flares.

After the Korean War ended with an armistice in July of 1953, production of the continued. The peak of Skyraider usage was in 1955, when 29
Navy squadrons and 13 Marine Corps squadrons were flying Skyraiders. The last Skyraider came off the production line in February of 1957, a
much longer production run than had been anticipated back in the late 1940s. Although the Skyraider was never intended to be a fighter, it
did achieve a couple of MiG "kills" during the Southeast Asian War. On June 20, 1965, Lts Charles Hartman and Clinton Johnson in A-1H BuNo
137523 and 139786 shared in the downing of a MiG-17 by cannon fire. On October 9, 1966, Lt JG William T. Patton of VA-176 flying A-1H BuNo
137543 shot down a MiG-17 near Hanoi.

The last Navy Skyraiders were retired in early 1972. The USAF continued to use Skyraiders throughout most of the Vietnam war. The last USAF
A-1 rescue mission was flown on November 7, 1972.

NOTE: These models are designed for FS9, however, they are fully compatible with FSX, BUT they are not FSX based models. Special
features common to FSX are not modeled (self shadowing, bumpmaps)but other features, specially those refering to aircraft preview
and in-flight views are present.

FS2004/FSX Version
1. 26 high detailed models with 36 different textures from the first prototype to the last operative versions used by the french air force
2. High detail VC with clickable gauges, throtlle, prop pitch, flap lever, gear lever and tail hook lever are animated & clickable
3. Custom gauges
4. Custom Sound package
5. FSX compatibility

CFS2 version

2. Multi-res, will work in "Quick Combat" mode and also as AI
3. Custom DP files & weapons BGLs
4. Custom sounds

Talking Fs2004 // Fsx Cat Iii: Fs Checkride

Hello,

CATIII Software is pleased to announce the release of FSCheckride.

FSCheckride is a brand-new concept in desktop aviation that allows users to create and run professional, feature-rich, interactive examinations using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 or FSX as the platform.

Whether you fly for real or fly a computer, the core idea behind FSCheckride is that the best way to learn (or refresh) your understanding of aviation regulations, laws and concepts is through studying and doing exam questions.

Talking FS2004 [microSimulator] T-37B (Reloaded)

Hello,

Homepage
http://www.t37sim.com

Aircraft:
http://rapidshare.com/files/63058972/Project_tweetyBird.rar

Updates:
http://rapidshare.com/files/63051073/Project_tweetyBird_Updates.rar

For those who still have trouble installing this bird, here are a few pointers.
To start the wrapper edit the install.bat file and change
de-flight1 T-37B_Installer_(v1.02).exe to
de-flight1 T-37B_Installer_(v1.02).exe [-r]
save and run it. Fill in the required fields using random data, including the CC fields (if it doesn't accept the CC#, try again using a different random combination until it does). Follow the prompts and should find yourself with the installer extracted and a valid license file in your windows directory.

OR

(1) Turn off all internet connections
(1) place the Cracker folder on the c:\drive, such that it says c:\Cracker
(3) click on the Cmd.exe, which produces the dos window
(4) type this in exactly
de-flight1.exe(space){T37filename.exe}(space)-u-[return]
all kinds of windows pop up.
(5)hit the first Ok, which should generate the bypasser to do it's thing,
(6) hide the other OK that comes up after the first and start placing the variables in the Purchase utility.
(7) I fill the whole thing out, making sure the postal code is true for the city i am using, as well as the area code. (that stuff might not matter but it works for me.)
(8) i use 273 for the CC secure code, and Jan 2008 as the expiration date.
(9) the purchase utility goes through its magic, bypassing the first thing, but 'connecting' the last 2 things (forgot what they are called).
THAT IS WHEN IT STARTS TO CREATE THE INSTALLATION FILE AND THE ALL IMPORTANT LIC, which is hardware specific (meaning Joe's system's LIC will not work on mine, etc.).
(10) after the installation file and LIC are created I usually get some error message but that doesn't matter, and then I close out the OK popup that I hid.
(10) With the cracker utilities now closed I then run the T-37 configurator and go fly the baby beauty.

It works for me all the time, every time. I've done this installation so many times I am writing the instructions without even looking at the notes. B)

[EDIT: I forgot to add, to remedy the problem some users were having there are (were) a couple of patches available from their site. I've never had a problem The Tweet, but I downloaded the patches anyway (just in case I later have a problem and/or the patches no longer become available).
I fly this aircraft, like all well-modeled trainers, by the 'book.' I've never had an engine conk out, unless I didn't turn on my INDEFINITE BATTERY (=0) in the FSUIPC module configuration) or, for truer realism, I turn on Failures in the sim or use a Failure generating utility. END OF EDIT]

First load the default cessna172. Turn on battery, generator, fuel pump from there. Then load the T37. Now just press on the left engine starter switch. If you hear "starting engine one", it's OK. When I load the aircraft from other aircrafts like realair sf260, it says "engine started" instead, and I can't start the engine whatever.

Now wait until 10% N1, then advance your throttle to max then bring it back to idle. Once engine 1 started, stablize it at 60% N1 and start engine 2.

A other trick:

To make this addon work first,go to your FS9 root folder and look for the aircraft folder then look up the folder T-37v20 then open the panel folder and delete everything out of it you wont have a 2d cockpit no more but the virtual cockpit is framerate friendly and i like it better anyways but this will stop the nagging startup procedure that fails and you will have a flyable aircraft.

Regards.

Talking FS2004 // FSX Just Flight RAF Coningsby (freeware)

Hello,

Details:
We're pleased to be able to host this excellent freeware scenery created by John Young. His rendition of Coningsby is a
massive improvement over the default offering in both FS2004 and FSX and we're sure you'll enjoy flying in and taking a
good look round it as much as we did.

RAF Coningsby - in Lincolnshire in Eastern England - is the home of the Eurofighter Typhoon in the UK and, of course, of
the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Tornados and Harriers of 41 Squadron also frequent the main apron as The Fast Jet
and Weapons Operational Evaluation Unit. The Southern area Quick Reaction Alert force is also based at Coningsby and is
shared by 3 Squadron (Typhoon) and 25 Squadron (Tornado) on a rotational basis.

John's scenery was developed primarily for use in FS2004, but is fully compatible with FSX, although frame rates won't be
as quick in the latter.

The scenery will fit in perfectly with the default scenery in both versions of Flight Simulator and also with VFR Real
Scenery Vol. 1.
